Just some layouts today...

I am so tired tonight, I don't even feel like scrappin' and that never happens! Just going to sit my butt on the couch and watch the Sox Vs. Diamondbacks in interleague play. I will show you some layouts I've done lately though. The first is of Nate using the Passport collection from Making Memories. The next 2 are of my friend Denise's husband Jason during his deployment in Qatar. I left some spots for him to journal in. And the last is of my crazy wonderful friend. Love you, D!!

This morning we tried to get family portraits done and that was a total nightmare. Don't even want to give you the ugly details. I usually spend Wednesday afternoons with my friend Stacey and her kids and the twins but they had stuff going on today so I really missed them.

That's all I've got folks.

Peace, Love and Baseball!

Shimmering Samples!

My friend Kim stopped by the other night with some samples of Shimmerz paints for me! She got down on her hands and knees and begged me to be on their design team. (Just Kidding!! LOL) But seriously, she did ask me to join the Shimmerz Paints DT and I was happy to accept! Here are some samples of some of the cards I created:

Make sure to stop by the Shimmerz Paints blog for more info! For ordering information contact Kim at kim1209@yahoo.com.

Color My World!

The other day I told you all about Shimmerz Paint. Well they posted the color chart on their blog today (I hope they don't mind that I copied it to show you here!!) They look amazing. I love aquamarine, pink, royal red, angel wings, celery, key lime, mocha, coffee, coal and pumpkin just to name a few, LOL!!

Which ones are your favorites?

Feelin' a Little Crappie!

Tonight we are off to a Crappie Fish Fry at Kirk's aunt and uncle's house. No, I did not spell that wrong! It's actually pronounced "croppie". They are pretty darn good! Last week the Nut Feed, this week we are eating Crap. LOL!

Here are a few things I created last night. My friend Denise wanted me to make four canvases for her wall, one for each of her family members. She picked this photo of Sarah even though I've already done two other layouts with it! It's her favorite. I wish the photo showed how cool the shimmery paint on the canvas looks! I did a little Christmas layout with some of the leftovers from this project.

And speaking of shimmery paints...

I saw my friend Kim today. She excitedly told me all about a brand new product called Shimmerz Paints. They are super glittery paints that adhere to everything. Check out their blog here. She is sending me some of the paints to play with. I can't wait. I'll be sure to share the finished products with all of you!

I'm sure tonight will be another late one. I got a happy little package from Denise today with the fabulous Making Memories Passport collection, some Tim Holtz stamps and some fabulous trims. I'm sure I'll be creating when I get home! Oh, I didn't even mention the ridiculous amount of new stuff I picked up at Archiver's today! Thanks for enabling Kim! :0)

TGIF!

Christmas in June??

I got my first card picked up for Publication for the November issue of Cards magazine recently. So excited about that. I love that publication and I've been subscribing to it for a couple of years. It got me all inspired to make some cards to submit for the December issue. We shall see! I created a few the other night while I watched Juno three times in a row, Home Skillet! Love that movie!

Hey, Christmas is only 6 months away right? No time like the present! :0)

my new motto

I'm officially making my personal motto "no time like the present". I don't like to procrastinate so when I have something to get done I'm just going to do it! I made this clock out of an old record album (my kids had never even seen one!) for the Last Scrapper Standing contest over at Create My Keepsake. I made it into the top 20. The challenges have been so much fun. There are so many talented scrappers in the top 20. I am in awe of them!

These are a couple of photos from Father's Day. We gave Kirk a mirror for the boat for his gift so he can see the kids while they are on the inner tube. How cute is this picture of Nate? He did so well on his first boat outing of the summer. Just smiled and enjoyed it! That is Joe on the tube in the background. Nick is in the "don't take my picture, or I'll kill you" stage. Bummer.

I want to give a little shout out to the Boston Celtics. Wow! They played their hearts out! They won the NBA championship last night. Watching the finals brought back so many memories of my Mom and I sitting and watching every single Celtics game together (usually while rolling meatballs!). She was a fanatic! (Kind of like me with the Red Sox!) I'm sure she would be very thrilled that the Celts beat Kobe and the Lakers!

Happy Wednesday, my friends!

Nut feed...

As part of the Eagle Fun Days, every year there is a Rocky Mountain Oyster Feed fund raiser (nicknamed the Nut Feed by all of my buddies!). This year was my first time attending and YES I actually ate some! Not my favorite food but it was a good old time! Here's the proof!

That last picture is of my crazy friend Loni who helped out with cooking!

Eagle Fun Days Parade

I've lived here in the little town of Eagle for three years but this was my first time at the parade. Kirk has taken the boys before and they have always had a BLAST. Towards the end of the parade the fire trucks come through and spray the crowd. Good thing it was a hot sunny day. I got immediately drenched. Then a bunch of floats come through and they have water wars with the crowd. Joe was right out there in the thick of it! I didn't get too many photos because I didn't want my camera to get wet!!

Surprise!!

We pulled off a fabulous surprise party for my dear friend Angie's birthday on Saturday. It was so fun! Angie had no idea. She DID NOT want a party or any kind of big deal made for her (unlike me where I just want 200 of my closest friends and lobster and champagne and... well you get the picture!) It was a low-key BBQ and pool party at my next door neighbor Pam's house. All of the kids had a ball in the pool. Angie and I went swimming in the chocolate fountain! LOL.

Happy 40th Angie!! You ROCK and you look WICKED young!

new layouts

Here is a layout I did for a fun contest at Create My Keepsake called Last Scrapper Standing. The gals over there are so much fun and super talented so it's just fun to be a part of it.

This is one of the twins that I did with some of my Pink Paislee goodies. I wanted to do a baby layout without the traditional pink or blue or pastels.

Have a fun weekend!
